Good Morning...

Here I am once again up early on a Saturday morning, I wish I could just sleep in on the weekends but the only time I want to stay asleep is during the week when I have to be up at 6 in the morning, 5 days a week, everyday, Monday thru Friday, and all I think about is "I wish I could sleep in today", same thought every morning during the week, then finally Saturday is here and what happens, like clockwork I am up at 6 in the morning and then the little kid follows. Well this is today's story the same thing, I awoke at 6 and the little kid followed a few minutes later, so much for any me time, none the less, I started my coffee and got my special cup out, and the child orders his breakfast, a sausage sandwich with bread not an english muffin he definitely knows what he likes, I on the other hand wanted something else, something different, something creamy and smooth and most of all HOT! So today I went retro for breakfast, yes I had CoCo Wheats, does anyone still eat this cereal, I was at the store last week and I was going thru the cereal aisle and my eyes landed on this lonely box of cereal and then next thing I know it jumped into my cart and said take me home you will love me, so me being me I brought the cereal home, now would this be considered a cereal or what, none the less I remembered this morning I had this box in my pantry and decided to make it, then I thought I need some toast to go along with this and of course my morning eye opener, my COFFEE, my question is, is anyone else eating this or just me??? Have a wonderful day........ Oh and by the way the book I am reading is French Food at Home by Laura Calder, not Julia Child but very easy on the brain this early in the morning, and also my movie Julie and Julia is playing as I post.....

This was going to be my breakfast only, but it looked lonely!

So Aunt Millie and her Mate came to keep CoCo company!

What a beautiful site for my sore eyes!

See special cup in the background, very nice!

My Cookies!!!

I know Christmas has come and gone and now we are on to a new year and new beginning, but I wanted to post some pictures of them, every year I add a new cookie to my trays I pass out, this year was a Snickerdoodle, I don't know how I felt about them, everyone seem to really enjoy them but I just couldn't get into them. I don't know if these will be keepers for next year. I also made the most wonderful, delicious, mouth watering caramels, and peanut clusters and of course the traditional peanut brittle, this year I didn't make the teeth shattering peanut brittle I made it just under that stage and oh my it had just the right amount of crunch to it and proceeded to melt in your mouth! It was DIVINE!!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!!

I look forward to the new year, but unlike every year that has gone by I am not going to be making any new year resolutions!!!! Some of my resolutions have lasted for a couple of months and others a week and some a day and yes unfortunately some have lasted a mere hour, I know seems silly to say I will do something and then let it go by the wayside, so that is why I am trying something different, and I am going to free my mind and spirit of any have too's and will allow myself to move ahead in my day to day living!
I hope that any of you that have made your resolutions and are determined to follow them through, I bid you all the will power and determination you want and need, until later this morning, God Bless and Be Safe!!! Diana
